Ms. Cupani's practice focuses on insurance coverage litigation and appeals. She has briefed and argued numerous civil and criminal appeals on a wide variety of topics, including two recent Oregon Supreme Court cases involving insurance coverage issues of significance to the industry. Ms. Cupani has also litigated insurance and criminal cases in state and federal courts, including cases involving fraud and arson.
Ms. Cupani is a former attorney with Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, where she worked in the firm's special investigations and coverage unit, a specialized branch of the firm's insurance practice group. Before beginning her career as a civil lawyer, Ms. Cupani worked as a public defender handling criminal misdemeanor cases, and spent three years learning the appellate ropes at the state public defender's office.
