Rob comes to us with over 20 years experience in the legal community. Over that period of time he has worked on many different aspects of civil litigation, successfully assisting on cases ranging from medical malpractice, to personal injury, to bankruptcy, to complex class-action defense involving insurers and other businesses. Rob has teamed with the attorneys at MLR for over 9 years now, concentrating primarily on coverage litigation and the defense of insurers.

Rob has extensive trial experience and has been instrumental in the successful defense of complex coverage and "bad faith" actions all over the U.S., including recent cases in Oklahoma, Montana, Oregon, Nevada, Washington and Tennessee. Rob is our "go-to" person for electronic discovery (e-discovery) issues, data gathering and database creation, and strategic use of trial presentation software. His wealth of knowledge and trial experience, and his familiarity with even the most recent advances in discovery and litigation technology, allows us to confidently take on all of the unique challenges that our clients face in an increasingly paperless world.

Rob was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and, although an intrepid explorer, proudly continues to call Oregon "home." He is an alumnus of Reed College and Portland State University, and holds a bachelors degree in Political Science. He is also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served tours as an U.S. Army Ranger and as security detail for a Patriot Missile unit in Germany. Rob remains active in our community through Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, volunteer work with victims of child abuse and neglect, and formerly as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for children removed from abusive situations. Rob is an avid climber, skier, and cyclist, dabbles in the French, German, and Slovak languages, and spends his remaining free time and energy exploring the lesser-trekked regions of the world.
